5 Ways To Use Corporate Headshots Beyond Linkedin

Internal Company Website or Intranet

Including headshots on team directories makes internal communication more personal and approachable. Employees can quickly identify and connect with colleagues, which fosters stronger relationships across departments. This visual element builds rapport among peers, making the workplace feel more cohesive and collaborative. Moreover, it enhances the employee experience by promoting a sense of belonging and recognition within the organization.

Company Newsletters

Featuring headshots alongside employee achievements, milestones, or contributions personalizes the recognition and makes it more meaningful. This approach highlights team members' value to the organization and reinforces a culture of appreciation. Including headshots in newsletters creates a sense of recognition that motivates employees and boosts morale. For example, a quarterly newsletter featuring an "Employee of the Month" section with a professional photo and brief bio can enhance engagement and foster a sense of pride among staff.

Press Releases

Adding professional headshots to press releases humanizes the message, making it more relatable and engaging for the audience. Featuring the faces behind the company adds credibility, reinforcing trust and transparency in the announcement. For example, a product launch press release that includes a photo of the CEO can create a stronger emotional connection with stakeholders and the media. It also helps differentiate your announcement from others by putting a recognizable face to the story. This approach not only boosts the impact of your news but also aligns your leadership team with the brand’s image and values.

Social Media Content

Social media platforms are a great place to showcase corporate headshots, turning them into engaging content that highlights your team. Use headshots to celebrate employee achievements, work anniversaries, or introduce new hires in a professional yet personal way. Posts like these not only humanize your brand but also enhance employee morale by recognizing their contributions publicly. This strategy helps build engagement with followers while showcasing a vibrant and people-focused company culture. For example, you could post a professional headshot of a new team member on Instagram with a caption welcoming them to the company and sharing a fun fact about their role.

Event Collateral

Professional headshots can be incorporated into event badges, brochures, or programs to create a polished and cohesive presentation. Including headshots on materials like speaker bios or team profiles helps attendees easily identify key individuals, fostering a more personal connection during events. This approach not only enhances the professionalism of the event but also adds a human element, making interactions more engaging. For example, a conference program featuring high-quality headshots alongside speaker names and titles can elevate the attendee experience. These visual cues ensure smoother networking and contribute to a well-organized and memorable event.

The Big Sell: Pictures to last a lifetime

On June 24th, my wife and I closed on our house. This time, we were on the seller’s end of the table. In 2017 we embarked on a journey to build our dream home and custom house to share with our family and friends. We knew it wasn’t our “forever” home and in fact, the market of 2022 expedited our decision to “let’s do this again.” WHAT?!?!!? LOL. YES.

While very much bittersweet, we are also excited for our next project and now we have our wonderful daughter alongside us for the journey.
